CRITERIA FOR REALTOR®-OF-THE-YEAR/MANAGEMENT
1. An applicant must be a member in good standing with the Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors® for at least 5 years. This membership must be the applicant’s Primary Board membership.
2. An applicant must not have been found guilty of violating the Code of Ethics or the Ohio Revised Code, unless determined otherwise by the CABR Realtor®-of-the-Year Committee.
3. An applicant must be currently involved in the day-to-day real estate business.
4. Exemplify a high degree of professionalism and ethics in the industry.
5. An applicant must be actively involved in Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors® committee(s) and/or special assignments.
6. The Realtor®-of-the-Year/Management should be involved in some of the following categories for the past five (5) years:
a. Active committee involvement with the Ohio Association of Realtors and/or special assignments.
b. Active committee involvement with the National Association of Realtors and/or special assignments.
c. Involved in community activities, such as civic, cultural, or charitable activities in their community.
d. Demonstrate the pursuance of educational advancement (i.e., designations) and/or degree.
7. For their year in office, the president, the president-elect, and the immediate past president shall not be eligible for the nomination and selection as Realtor®-of-the-Year/Management.
8. The Realtor®-of-the-Year/Management award may only be received once.
CRITERIA FOR REALTOR®-OF-THE-YEAR/SALES
1. An applicant must be a member in good standing with the Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors® for at least five (5) years. This membership must be the applicant’s Primary Board membership.
2. An applicant must not have been found guilty of violating the Code of Ethics or the Ohio Revised Code, unless determined otherwise by the CABR Realtor-of-the-Year Committee.
3. An applicant must be actively involved only in day-to-day real estate sales, qualifying for the current year Circle of Excellence (COE) or the Commercial Top Producers (CTP). The applicant must be a COE or CTP member three (3) out of the previous five (5) years.
The applicant cannot be involved in the ownership/management of any real estate brokerage.
If the applicant has converted from management to sales within the previous calendar year (i.e., since January 1 of the year prior to the current consideration year), the REALTOR®-of-the-Year Committee may choose to ignore the "three out of five" requirement listed above. This applicant shall conform to the current consideration year’s membership in COE or CTP.
4. Exemplifying a high degree of professionalism and ethics in the industry.
5. An applicant must be actively involved in Cincinnati Area Board of REALTORS® (CABR) committee(s) and/or special assignments.
6. The Realtor® -of-the-Year/Sales should be involved in some of the following categories for the past five (5) years:
a. Active committee involvement with the Ohio Association of Realtors (OAR) and/or special assignments.
b. Involved in community activities, such as civic, cultural, or charitable activities in their community.
c. Demonstrate the pursuance of educational advancement (i.e., designations) and/or degrees.
7. For the year in office, the president, the president-elect, and the immediate past president shall not be eligible for the nomination and selection as Realtor® -of-the-Year/Sales.
8. The Realtor®-of-the-Year/Sales award may only be received once. Past winners of this award or Associate-of-the-Year award are ineligible.
